Thank you America! The UN and its Security Council needs to be held accountable as well. If the UN fails Lebanon again, we will seek to call for the dismantlement of the waste of space located on New York's East Side.

The UN is certainly under a lot of scrutiny, what with the Darfour massacre continuing, the rape of young girls by so called UN "peacekeepers" in the Congo, the Oil for Food scandal, Kofi Annan in cahoots with Kojo (Mojo Jojo) Annan, his son, in evading taxes on a Mercedes-Benz vehicle using diplomatic pouches to transport vehicles to Africa from Europe, et cetera....

The rot inside the UN stinks....

This will be my last post until after New Year's as I will be in the City celebrating the end of a year of mixed emotions.

Oh my God! A Syrian arrested in Tueni murder!

Another Syrian implicated in the murder of a Lebanese journalist. I am shocked, shocked! at the news.

Abdel Qader Abdel Qader is under arrest for being involved in the murder of Gebran Tueni on December 12, 2005.

Fortunately, we in Lebanon do not have the same rules against torture like the pansies in the US Congress. There are ways we can make him talk. Let the games begin Abdo!

If there is any doubt who is behind all of this, then you have your head buried where the sun don't shine.

In other news, Israel pounded a Palestinian terrorist base near Beirut. Which begs the question: Why in the hell do we still have Palestinians in Lebanon? They have the West Bank and Gaza! They are in control of their own destiny. So they should go back to Palestine!

This story was not in the Daily Star from Beirut, but the Daily Star from Tucson, Arizona in the United States. So our own english newspaper was scooped on the story by another paper 7000 miles away.

Go figure.

Meanwhile, the Big Buzz in Beirut is why Michel the fortune teller won't talk about his predictions for 2006 on New Year's Eve... oooo scary!!

In the commercial, Fares Boueiz is holding a press conference on February 14 while at the same time a large explosion is heard in the background. Did anyone else notice that he did not appear surprised by the sound? Hmmm...?

Free Speech for Lebanon Now!

Welcome to the Aachkouti Democrat Blog. I am Abu Shabab el Arz, and I am unequivocally calling for freedom of speech and freedom of the press in Lebanon NOW!!!

After several assassinations of vocal advocates for freedom in Lebanon, some of us have to take on anonymity in order to continue our work.

It is my hope that this will be merely a temporary arrangement until Emile Lahoud, the so-called "President of Lebanon" resigns and is replaced with a leader that will help restore Lebanon's territorial sovereignty, freedom, liberty and independence.

I will periodically post my views as well as those of others and my hope is to carry on a dialogue with other like-minded individuals seeking freedom in Lebanon.

Long live the Lebanese people who deserve so much more than heartache and suffering at the hands of tyrants like Emile "Syrian Puppet" Lahoud and Bashar "String Master" Assad.
